The SNP Do It Again
They just don’t seem to be able to help it. First Libya, now Glasgow. The SNP have reversed plans to create a rail link from Glasgow City Centre to the Airport, designed primarily to aid to movement of visitors to the city in 2014 when Glasgow hosts the Commonwealth Games.
The rail link was an integral part of Glasgow’s winning bid and so the announcement will not be welcomed. However the bigger problem here for the SNP is that there is a by-election coming up in Glasgow North East and this news will not create healthy headlines for the party who wants to take another seat from Labour. As with Megrahi, the SNP thought they were making a good decision. Presumably on the rail link they have made their decision and live with the consequences. This is apparently the SNP investing in Scotland’s future – by not building new transport links.
Does that sound like a party you would vote for?
