New Labour Dictionary, Word 94: Extremism
In a shocking interview with the Daily Telegraph today, David Miliband has branded the Conservatives as extremists simply because they want a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty (EU Constitution).
So clearly in the new Labour dictionary, the word extremism is, “a term used to describe the opposition when they hold the government to account”.
I happen to think that Labour’s stance is actually quite extreme. Is it not legitimate to classify a party as extreme when they deploy a policy that does not allow people their democratic right to have a say on the future of their country?
